Mindfulness – The Practice of Presence
January 22 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Mindfulness can be described as paying attention to your life as you’re living it. With stress reduction and other important health benefits, learning to practice mindfulness can enhance wellbeing on all levels: physical, mental, financial, emotional and spiritual. Mindfulness practices can help a person reduce anxiety, pain, and inflammation and to improve memory, focus and sleep. As we face increasingly complex, conflicted and challenging circumstances, mindfulness can become one of the roots that keeps us grounded and proactive.
Led by Chandra White, this class will focus on practices and attitudes of mindfulness. You learn the science behind various mindfulness methods, their benefits and experience mindfulness practice first-hand. If you’re new to mindfulness, or would like to reacquaint yourself with practices, sign up today!
Chandra White is a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach and the Founder of Centered Yoga & Wellness. In addition to being certified as an Integrative Health Coach through Duke University’s Center for Integrative Health, she is also certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners and trained with Dr. Jeffrey Brantley in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).
